The setting of the musical Les Miserables is about this guy named Jean Valjean (Nathan Woodland) a french peasant, and his desire for redemption. He was released in 1815 after serving nineteen years in jail for stealing a loaf of bread for his sisters starving child. Valjean as (Nathan Woodland) decides to break his parole and start his life anew after a bishop inspires him by a tremendous act of mercy.

But, he is being tracked down by a police inspector named Javert who is played by Josiah Parrish. Along the way, Woodland and a slew of characters are swept into the June 1832 Rebellion in France, while a group of young idealists attempt to overthrow the government with a street barricade in Paris.

“It was probably 2 1/2 hours on a good run, it took place during France or the revolutionary age. Lots of trench coats Mr. Van Noy and the cast members push on & off stage. Maddie Cardoza helps with the costumes and makeup,” says Savanna Rocher. “We asked Mr.Van Noy about the time and work put into the behind the scenes. “He said that he was super tired because he had stayed at school till 10 this whole week getting everything prepared.”
