Do you want to be known as an excellent citizen in Pocatello/Chubbuck? If you said yes then you should join Junior Civitan.

What exactly is Junior Civitan?  Mrs. Carlson said that Junior Civitan is a service organization. The goal of Junior Civitan is to give back to the community and to build an attitude of service.

The project they were working on was the canned food drive, which ended December 4th and was highly successful numbers.

A day students collected 691 cans and $775, B day collected 948 cans and $1624. The total numbers are a combine 1639 total cans and $2,3999 in terms of money.

That money is enough for 11,995 meals! The students should be proud.

Mrs. Carlson said that people should join the club because we all have something to be grateful for and service helps us appreciate things we have.

They have done three projects so far but the canned food drive had the best response.

This year covid has made it hard for the club because it made meetings and projects tricky because of the split schedule.
