The JV soccer team started the season with six wins before taking their first loss to Thunder Ridge and then a tie game with Madison.

Jacob Ramirez, a player on the boys Highland Soccer team, stated that they are all really good friends. “We have good teamwork. We like to have lots of fun.”

Ramirez plays whatever position he is needed in to help out the team. He describes the team atmosphere as comedic, loud and high energy. They cheer each other on at games.

Cooper Price, another player on the team, said he really likes soccer, “it’s fun and energetic.”

Price plays center-back. Price says their teamwork is great, everyone gets along and watches out for each other.

The soccer team’s coach is Mark Muzzo, who works at Franklin Middle School. As of Thursday, September 9th 2021, the Highland Boys Soccer team is undefeated. They plan to keep it that way throughout the season.
